Zoom the lens of your mind.

it’s a beautiful week with a beautiful beginning.

Seat  back and relax as I journey you on my topic today

“Zoom the lens of your mind”

One day, the Father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the countryside with the express purpose of showing him how the poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on a farm of what will be considered a very poor family.

On their return from the trip, the father asked the son “how was the trip?”
“It was great dad.”
“Did you see how poor people lived?” His father asked him.
“Oh, yeah.” He responded
“So tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” Asked the father.
The son answered:
“I saw that we have one dog and they have four. We have a pool that reaches the middle of our garden and they have a stream that has no end. We have imported laterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our courtyard reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have field that goes beyond our sights. We have servants who serve us but they served one another. We buy food but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us and they have families and friends.

The boy’s father was speechless.
“Thank you Dad for showing me how the poor people lived. Cause I don’t see them poor. They have excess but we are limited to one thing or the other” .

Isn’t perspective wonderful? It makes you wonder what will happen if we all give thanks to everything we have. Instead of worrying about what we don’t have. Appreciate every single thing you have especially your friend.
One truism holds that changing one’s perspectives is like changing the window through which you view the world. Acknowledging and thinking about different perspectives is an important part of developing one’s life. Changing ingrained perspectives can be difficult, but if you take a wholeness approach to considering your perspectives and those of others, you can change your perspective and how you view the world around you

It’s a new week with opportunities for newness, freshness, opportunities ro be better.
Think different, think big, think outside the box, zoom the lens of your mind!

I wish you all the best week!
